Axilone has designed the 7.5ml and 30 ml bottle and cap for the Visionnary of
Lancôme. The new advanced skin corrector.
The bottle was copolyester injection moulded using a hot runner with valve pins.
The different shades of dark blue were obtained by using a special varnish over a
base coloured in the mass created by Axilone Plastique's colour Department.
The cap was moulded in bi-injection with copolyester and ABS, using a rotary
mould and hot runner with valve pins. It was then subjected to selective
galvanisation with a chrome finishing. The two moulds were designed and
produced in our mould production Department. The sides and collar are in
chrome galvanised ABS.
The different pieces are assembled on automated production line, with 3 six-axis
digital robots, which also provides the double-faced pad printing after the
varnishing stage. The automatic line also electrostatically cleans each piece,
controls post assembly water-tightness and places the finished article in a
thermoformed packaging ready for delivery to the client.
The project was completed in record time by using the Value Stream Mapping
method: proof that reactivity and productivity can also be used to good effect
with luxury products.
The bottle's refined yet contemporary design has a touch of audacity, for
surprising and lure the women.
